Being in the present

Mindfulness - being in the present, accepting things for what they are, to pay attention in the present moment

The above link is to a 3 page document that provides some techniques to practice as a way of introducing the principle of mindfulness... definitely want to try these out.

The question is always when. As a mum, partner, academic, student and the other roles in my life I wonder ---- but then that is the reason I have started out on this journey. To find the peace amids the chaos. To help me manage my mood, especially when the depression rears its head.

The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.- Thich Nhat Hanh
